The Gear 360 is unlike any camera or gadget for taking photos. The ball-shaped camera was on limited availability in the United States for $350 since last month and has been in stores in South Korea and Singapore since April.

Samsung is known to be working on a second generation of its Gear VR, smartphone virtual reality headset, but details remain a little thin on the ground. The new Galaxy Note 7 was also unveiled in this event. If anything, the next Gear VR is an iterative take on the original, which is fine by us (it’s pretty great). The company claims that both of the lenses capture 195-degree videos and images. The camera launches alongside Samsung’s new Note 7 and revamped Gear VR. It offers a 4k video resolution (3840 x 1920), making it the flawless companion for Samsung Gear VR. The smartphone can also be used to manage files stored in the Gear 360 camera.

Users can share crisp, clear and exciting views of their street or as they travel to different places and destinations. The Korean company on Tuesday revealed its Gear 360, which we saw back at Mobile World Congress earlier this year, will be available on August 19 for $349.
