Like other 2016 flagships, the Xiaomi Mi 5 comes powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor along with Adreno 530 GPU. The phone is expected to be priced around Rs. 24,999. The device runs on Android 6 Marshmallow with MIUI 7.

According to Hugo, the Mi 5 is like Bruce Wayne meet Hrithik Roshan kind of an affair.

The dual-SIM Xiaomi Mi 5, unlike previous counterparts, sports a 16-megapixel Sony IMX298 camera sensor with PDAF (phase detection autofocus), LED flash, 4-axis OIS (optical image stabilisation) with DTI tech & Spectra ISP including sapphire glass protection lens.

The pricing is what many potential buyers will want to know about first, so the Xiaomi Mi 5 price in India has been announced as Rs. 24,999.

The Mi5 comes with a 5.2-inch display that the company says is extraordinarily vibrant.

The handset will feature a new “Bike Mode” which will allow bike riders to go on an uninterrupted ride every time it is turned on.

It has a 1.5 GB of RAM and 8-megapixel rear camera (5MP in the U.S. version).

The storage memory architecture is UFS 2.0, which is about 85% faster than eMMC flash storage card – the current standard.

These two devices are flagships by Samsung which were launched recently and have received a tremendous response. As Barra explains, the 3D ceramic body is 75 per cent more expensive than 3D glass. On the other hand, the lower model will come in two versions. In order to make the display brighter, Xiaomi is using 16 LEDs for the display instead of typical 12-14 on a 5-inch device.
