Xiaomi’s highly-anticipated Mi Note 2 is nearly upon us going by a new leak which alleges that the handset is coming out next week. Whatever the case, the depicted graphic does have an air of legitimacy about it, so we wouldn’t be surprised if Xiaomi does plan to break from convention and launch / release the Mi Note 2 on 9/24. According to the leakster, the device will sport a 5.7-inch sized display, although some previous rumors hint at a smaller 5.5-inch sized display.

The second leak comes in the form of a teaser image that has 9.24 written on it, indicating a September 24 unveiling for the smartphone. The image also has Xiaomi’s logo at right hand corner. It is speculated to be the date – 24 September – for the launch of the device. In either case, the device could launch this month. Mi Note 2 is reported to run on Snapdragon 821 processor, coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

The highlight of Mi Note 2 is the dual rear camera set-up, which was leaked in official renders.

It is not certain when the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will come out.

Word on the street is that the Mi Note 2 series might get unveiled by the end of September or in early October. According to Phoneradar, Mi Note 2 will cost 2,799 Yuan (approximately Rs 28,000).

With two different leaks offering different release dates for the Android-powered Xiaomi Mi Note 2, it will be interesting to see which one hits the mark.
