Xiaomi Redmi 3s launched with 4G LTE, fingerprint sensor: Price, specifications, features
Chinese smartphone giant Xiaomi has launched a new Redmi 3S smartphone in China, with a base price of CNY 699 ($106). Rs 7,000/$107) for the 2GB RAM/16GB Storage variant and CNY 899 (apprx. In terms of specifications, Xiaomi Redmi 3s features a 5-inch HD display of 720×1280 pixel resolution. The 13-megapixel camera (f/2.0 aperture, PDAF) can be found on the back of the Redmi 3s, while you’ll be able to find a 5-megapixel snapper (f/2.2 aperture) up front. The phone will be available in grey, silver and gold colours. It is the successor of Redmi 3 which was launched in starting 2016.

The only variant available right now is the one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.
The latest Xiaomi phone also carries a fingerprint scanner under the camera on the back. The new smartphone comes with a huge 4100mAh battery and a fingerprint sensor. Redmi 3s sports an expandable storage microSD slot, which should take care of any storage needs that a user might have. The Snapdragon 430 uses four 1.2GHz Cortex A53 cores and four 1.5GHz Cortex A53 cores paired with an Adreno 505 GPU.

The dualSIM phone has a hybrid SIM slot, which means the second slot can also be used for a microSD card. Running Android 5.1 Lollipop with MIUI 7 on top, the device sports 13MP rear camera along with a 5MP front facing camera. The Redmi 3 also came with the same 4,1000mAh battery, while the Redmi Note 3 features slightly smaller 4,000mAh battery. Both cameras can record at 1080p. It is the company’s focus on providing more for less that has made it the market leader in China, and we think it is soon going to make its way to the United States with a decent reception too.
