Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 with full metal-body, fingerprint scanner launched

For those unfamiliar with Xiaomi, the Chinese smartphone maker is known for its direct-to-market approach for selling its products which allows it to price its devices cheaper. Along with the Redmi Note 3, it goes on sale on November 27 in China.

At its rear is a 13 megapixel rear camera with a two-tone flash, while the front has a 5 megapixel shooter. The best part about the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is that it is really thin with about 8.65mm at its thickest point.

The company’s Redmi Note 3 is said to be featuring a fingerprint scanner or sensor at the back and will have a 5.5-inch full HD display supporting 1920 x 1080 pixels.

The Redmi Note 3 is heavier than the Redmi Note 2 by 4 grams at 164g. This phone also integrates a fingerprint sensor with which the company claims the device can be unlocked in one-third of a second.

The name Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro will not see the light of day as reports say that the device will be called the Redmi Note 3 instead.

This popular large smartphone got updated with a full metal body and a fingerprint sensor.

The Mi Pad 2 is a 7.9-inch tablet with a thickness of 6.95mm and a weight of 322 grams. It is also 38g lighter. The new tablet is powered by an Intel Atom X5-Z8500 processor as opposed to the Nvidia in its predecessor.

The tablet has a cost of approximately $150 and is offered with a 32GB or 64GB memory storage.

On the back, the tablet houses an 8-megapixel camera, while the fascia of the device is home to a 5-megapixel camera.

Battery life shouldn’t be an issue as the 6,190mAh battery is expected to last about 12.5 hours with video streaming or reading, according to Xiaomi. The 16GB model will retail for RMB 999 (US$156) and the 64GB model will go for RMB 1,299 (US$203). From the plastic of the Mi Pad, the Mi Pad 2 not is fully clad in a plush metal finish.

The handset is available in silver, gold and dark gray in your choice of 16GB storage with 2GB RAM for RMB 899 ($140) or 32GB of space with 3GB RAM for RMB 1,099 ($172). Wait for it… the Mi Air Purifier 2.
