Xiaomi which is known for its excellent performance and dedicated exceptions in the smartphone has done another unbelievable thing which will go to surely increase the craze for this growing brand in Smartphones. This time it is rocking Mediatek’s deca-core Helio X20 chipset, paired with Mali-T880 MP4 GPU.

There’s no word on a South African release yet, but the Redmi Note 4 seems more like a Note 3 with a few tweaks, it has to be said.

Xiaomi has launched the newest addition to its Redmi Note line, and as expected, it’s a large, powerful smartphone sold at a ridiculously low price.

On the camera side of things, the Redmi Note 4 comes with the same 13 MP rear camera and 5 MP front-facing shooter as its predecessor. This phone, just like its predecessor, sports three capacitive buttons up front, menu, home and back keys, respectively.

The first impressions always start with the build quality and while Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 does not feature a dual camera like the Redmi Pro, it features the same exquisite build quality that has helped Xiaomi gained to the pinnacle of the smartphone market. The Redmi Note 4 comes with a 5.5-inch 1080 x 1920 Full HD IPS display with 2.5D curved glass and a pixel density of 401 pixels per inch. The 16GB model is going to cost $135, while the 64GB internal storage version is going to retail for $180. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 features a full metal unibody design and a big 4,100 mAh battery. The base variant is priced at 899 Yuan (Rs 9,000 approximately), while the 64GB variant is priced at 1,199 Yuan (Rs 12,000 approximately). The handset will be available in Gold, Dark Grey, and Silver colours.

Besides the inclusion of a fingerprint scanner, the Redmi Note 4 also gets an infrared sensor. The rear camera can also record 1080p videos at 30fps.

This will present a nice solid purchase over the company’s Redmi Note 3, which is now retailing for $240 at Gear Best (for the Snapdragon 650 version).
