Earlier this year in April, Yahoo obtained the right to work with any search provider as it renegotiated its arrangement with the software giant Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT).
As reports state, Marissa Mayer lately left working as an executive at Google, and is now on board as Yahoo’s CEO.
A representative for Yahoo added that there was nothing more to share at this time.
Yahoo confirmed on Wednesday that it has begun testing the use of Google search ads for a small portion of its desktop and mobile web search results.

The company does acknowledge Google as its biggest rival. Mr. Wall said that he was “uncertain to what degree they are testing search results from Google” but it was clear that some of the searches on Yahoo were bringing up ads from the firm.

For Facebook keeping users off of the web is a way to give ads on its platform more views, for Apple it’s all about the user experience, and hurting Google.
