Yankees OF Judge likely out for regular season with strain
Aaron Judge’s season is likely over barring a postseason run by the Yankees, general manager Brian Cashman said Tuesday.

In 27 games, Judge hit four home runs, but also struck out 42 times in 84 at-bats and batted just.179 since his August 13 call-up from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. “Starting to feel a lot better and just happy to be here”. “The strikeout rate declined considerably here recently”. Further, if the Yankees have any intention of using Judge as a trade piece this offseason, he will be unable to show interested teams that he can indeed be more than a home run hitting player with a significant hole in his swing.
The Yankees drafted Williams in the fourth round of the 2010 draft out of West Orange High (Fla.) and gave him a $1.5 million signing bonus, but he has struggled to develop, various shoulder injuries setting him back of late.

Although he made a few rookieish errors, Judge was also impressive in the field, especially compared to the work of his predecessor, the husk of Carlos Beltran. “Part of the process was to get him up here and get the growing pains out of the way and speed up the adjustment process”. We saw that take place a year ago in Triple-A in the second half.
The 24-year-old said after Tuesday’s game he felt “a little tight” but was unsure of his outlook because he never had that type of injury before. The rookie right fielder was placed on the 15-day DL with a Grade 2 strain. Therefore he earned his way up here.

This was a valuable learning experience for Judge and it will help him become the star we all know he can be in 2017.
