Yaya Toure’s father pleads with Pep Guardiola to forgive his son

“For me, very odd things [have happened] in Manchester City because Yaya played with them many years, [Joe] Hart played with them many years, I don’t know, [Vincent] Kompany played many years, and [in] comes a new coach and says, ‘Okay, these players out like dogs”‘.

And now Toure’s father, Mory, has waded into the war-of-words by telling The Sun: “I’m anxious about him”.

However, the Ivory Coast international’s father, Mory, is asking for former Bayern Munich and Barcelona boss Guardiola to forgive his son.

The City boss wants £240,000 a week Toure to denounce his agent’s remarks – but so far that hasn’t happened.

Not only have he and his agent refused to apologise to Manchester City and Pep Guardiola for all of the slander from Seluk, the Ukrainian agent has continued to make matters worse. It’s a problem. We ask Guardiola to come down to earth.

The petulant war of words has left Toure out in the cold with his long-term prospects at City looking increasingly bleak.

“If Manchester City win the Champions League then I will travel to London and say before the television cameras that Pep Guardiola is the best coach in the world”. He thinks he is already God.

“He won many titles with Barcelona but Yaya also won the same titles with Barcelona”. I already have a few offers for Yaya.

“I discussed about my job with the club before I arrived to sign, and before I signed I think that it is important to speak about what work the manager did in the past”. “I think it is a bit easier for his players to get stuck into his ideas”. Only time will tell how much, if at all, the behaviour of himself and his agent will damage his City legacy.
