Year-old Louisiana boy accidentally shot by police during pursuit
Few, while attempting to flee, had reportedly driven to a dead end, and was “backing into the marshals when they fired”. Officers claimed that after Few’s SUV backed into one of their own vehicles, the marshals got out of their patrol cars and began firing through the driver’s window. Few is in critical but stable condition.

It is believed the young boy was shot multiple times and pronounced dead at the scene.
A student at the school was shot on Tuesday night in an incident with Marksville Police.
It is still unclear who specifically killed the child.
Marksville Police Chief Elster Smith said that the officers could be placed on leave until the investigation was concluded.
Law enforcement officials have not confirmed that the child was killed by police gunfire. As of Wednesday afternoon, the names of the officers involved had not been made public.
The state police did not explain the reason for the chase, or the circumstances that caused the officers to shoot at the auto.
Dauzat said grief counselors were sent to Mardis’ school, the Lafargue Elementary School in Effie, a community north of Marksville.
Personnel from the investigative arm of state police’s Alexandria field office are investigating at the request of the Marksville Police Department.
Dr. L.J. Mayeux, coroner of Avoyelles Parish says the father of the victim, Chris Few, had warrants out for his arrest. Few, allegedly, was trying run from police.

A Guardian report from September found that police had shot and killed at least 30 people in moving cars in the first eight months of 2015.
