Yelp Now Lets You Search Businesses by Pokestop

The “PokéStop Nearby” option prominently appears on the top bar of Yelp’s website, and alongside selectable filters like “Wheelchair Accessible” and “Offers Military Discount” on the mobile app.

Now developer Niantic Labs is looking to include sponsored Pokéstops and gyms in the game. It’s asking players to help identify what business are Pokestop-adjacent by checking in to locations.

Now that Pokemon Go basically dictates your life, it makes sense that if you have to go outside and actually live a little, you might as well try to catch them all along the way. Since the information used by Yelp is crowd-sourced, if you happen to find a business that doubles as a PokeStop, check-in and answer one question.

However, Yelp assured its users that it is using a verification system that would eliminate inaccuracies.

At least for now, this feature is only available on iOS and Android in the US, Australia, and New Zealand. With that number, it beats Tinder and Twitter regarding weekly traffic.
