It was no wonder why, after barely squeaking out a win in Iowa last week, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton bolted from her “victory” rally in just 5 minutes, knowing New Hampshire would be a much steeper climb.

The chair of the Michigan Republican Party, Ronna Romney McDaniel, accused Clinton of using Flint families as “political pawns” and said the visit was a “calculated campaign tactic – an attempt to grab headlines by a struggling campaign”.

In Milford he took particular aim at Mr Sanders’ proposals to nationalise health care insurance and replace Obamacare. She said Wall Street was spending millions to defeat her.

At Sunday’s event, Clinton painted Sanders as a foolhardy candidate whose proposals aren’t paid for and whose supporters include misogynists. “You’re just for me or against me”. Of course Bernie’s gonna go nowhere after New Hampshire, but this collapse of Hillary Clinton’s is real.

True as these claims may be, Bill Clinton-you know, the guy who screwed his intern-is probably not the right guy to be making them. “Look we don’t want that crap”, he said. And yes, Bill Clinton is anxious about someone being sexist.

The latest Franklin Pierce University and the Boston Herald Democratic poll of New Hampshire found that Hillary Clinton has gained 13 points on Bernie Sanders in the past week, and has cut the Sanders lead from 20 points to 7 points.

The map starts looking better for Clinton, who only barely defeated Sanders in Iowa, the first contest of the presidential nominating season.

MITCHELL: Do you think he’s been unfair to her?

Sanders’ strength with younger voters only heightens the threat he poses to what was once Clinton’s decisive national lead.

Remembering her own experience, Kunin says a woman holding the nation’s top job is what America needs. Still, even as New Hampshire state polling showed his advantage in the state slipping throughout the week, Sanders holds a seemingly insurmountable 16 point advantage over Clinton one day ahead of the vote.

Sure, and listen Bernie Sanders has been part of that as a member of the caucus of the United States House and Senate for 25 years.
