Yoga not a religious activity: Modi
International Day Of Yoga celebrations began across the nation on Tuesday, as various states were seen holding yoga sessions, where people turned out in large numbers to practice the ancient Indian discipline.

Over 30,000 people – 10,000 each from the Union Territory Chandigarh, Punjab and Haryana – will take part in the event at Capitol Complex and 10,000 at over 100 other locations across the city.
Speaking at a programme organised by the IYD Main Organising Committee in the Capital to mark the IYD, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today said that yoga is an integral part of people daily activities for healthy body and sound thoughts.
Personnel on Indian ships out in the Pacific Ocean also celebrated the day by performing different aasanas.
People from various age group be it, adults, youths and children throng into the venue to mark the day especially to participate the yoga exercises along with the PM Narendra Modi, said the sources.
