Ivo van Hove, director of Bowie’s musical Lazarus, which opened in NY last month, was one of the few people Bowie had informed of his illness, in November 2014, to explain why he would not be able to attend all rehearsals.
The 66-year-old former model has spoken about her ex-husband several times since entering the house, and accused him of turning their son against her.
Bowie released his 25th album, called Blackstar, on Friday 8 January, to coincide with his 69th birthday, and it remains top of the album charts.
David Bowie, nevertheless, was not just a musician. “Everybody knows me now” and “I’ve got nothing left to lose”.
Producers told Angie the sad news off camera “at the earliest opportunity”, before showing footage of her reaction on an episode of the show last night.
David Bowie was planning to make another album after Backstar because he believed he had more time.
But, of course, his fans weren’t aware that they were hints because, according to Bowie’s friend, he wanted the world to believe that he was healthy.
The singer told his loved ones he wanted to “go without any fuss” and did not want a funeral or public memorial, the Daily Mirror said. We also see a hand creep up the bed as Bowie writhes around.
A David Bowie memorial concert is set for March 21 at New York’s Carnegie Hall following the singer’s tragic death. Appearing alongside contemporary hits from the likes of Drake, Adele and Justin Bieber are Bowie classics like “Let’s Dance” and songs from his just-released album, “Blackstar”.

Tony Visconti, the producer who worked with Bowie to complete his final album, has released a statement saying it was deliberately created and timed as a “parting gift” for his fans.
