Yoko Ono: John Lennon ‘had a desire to sleep with other men’

It has always been suggested that Lennon had sex with the Beatles’ manager, Brian Epstein – the 1991 film The Hours and the Times speculated on what might have happened when the pair took a trip to Barcelona – but Ono said she didn’t believe that to be the case.

“The beginning of the year he was killed, he said to me, ‘I could have done it, but I can’t because I just never found somebody that was that attractive.’ Both John and I were into attractiveness – you know – beauty”.

“I’m super-careful, nearly like a certain animal who is used to being hunted, like a deer”, she explains. I’m sure Brian Epstein made a move, yeah. “But it was a pretty intense relationship”, she said.

Yoko, a peace activist, added: “I mean, both John and I thought it was good that people think we were bisexual, or homosexual”.

The arthouse diva is espousing that we’re all bisexual at heart in an interview with The Daily Beast.

“I don’t think the other Beatles had to go through that much, really – John was the one who was taking it all”.

The widow also said she still fears for her life after Lennon’s death in 1980 saying she would be concerned if Chapman were ever released on parole. Considering the killer has been denied eight times, it’s probably safe to say he’ll never see outside of confinement again. So we’re hiding the other side of ourselves, which is less acceptable. “It could be me, it could be [her and Lennon’s son] Sean, it could be anybody, so there is that concern”. “He just didn’t want to do it, I think”. He said, “I don’t mind if there’s an incredibly attractive guy”. “There is a reason, whether a simple reason or not, to do what he does, and justify it. So that’s very scary”.
