When the update first became available, reports started trickling in on Apple’s Twitter feed about phones being “bricked”, or becoming unusable after being updated. But, as is becoming increasingly common, today’s rollout wasn’t without its issues, with some users reporting the update bricked their devices.

Apple has admitted to experiencing a “brief issue with these software update process” in a statement, but assured that it had been resolved.
Users who connect their Apple device to a computer via USB to download the update from iTunes are not affected.
Before you update your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to iOS 10 make sure that you take complete a backup of your data.
Earlier this year, Apple and other tech companies including Facebook and Microsoft reportedly blocked a move by the Unicode Consortium to introduce a rifle emoji.
If you’re working with a temporarily bricked phone, plug it in and fire up your (now-updated) iTunes.
The big question right now is how could this happen given the fact that Apple has released so many beta versions before this public update?
“Most people are focusing on the font’s size and how large it is compared to the previous iOS font”, said Brandwatch analyst Kellan Terry. You can also try to update the software through iTunes as it is said to be the safer way, albeit slow.
This seems to be a rather common bug at the moment and we’re hearing from our readers that the only way to fix the problem is to connect the iPhone to iTunes and perform the restore. This will download and install iOS 9.3.5, and won’t erase your personal data.
The release of iOS 10 comes days before the new iPhone 7 will be available to buyers. I’ll take funny-looking emojis over an hour-plus download any day.
Apple apologised for the problem and issued a software update to fix the issue.
The most exciting thing about iOS 10, for me anyhow, is how easy it’ll be to check messages and app update without going through a tedious swipe (what a lazy world we live in).
Unfortunately for iOS users, the update failed to work in many cases, displaying another error message when tapping “Update”.

It said Error 53, as it became known, was in fact security measure created to make sure the fingerprint sensor on the device had not been tampered with.
