Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz found out that instead of sitting on the bench for the season, he was going to be given the keys to the offense, and be the team’s starting signal caller THIS season.
And this one is a victor.
Nassib and Wentz faced each other every day during the week of practices at the Senior Bowl, so it’s not as if Nassib is completely unfamiliar with Wentz, and certainly he’s watched Wentz all week on film. He got only one goose – not a morning of good hunting, but a good morning for the Eagles’ future.

Pederson was named the Eagles’ starter while Donovan McNabb, the second overall pick in the draft, was given time to develop. “If he does, we’ve got to make him pay for it”.
Even if he is healthy, Philadelphia Daily News reporter Lew Bowen thinks it’s less likely for Wentz to be the Eagles Week 1 starter.
The Eagles will need him to more than double that production as his plays will increase this year.
Paul DePodesta doesn’t have the same career outlook for Carson Wentz as the Philadelphia Eagles.
Wentz is more mobile than Bradford.
Browns QB Robert Griffin III: The 25th different starting quarterback for the Browns since 1999, Griffin was voted a team captain and new coach Hue Jackson believes a resurrection of the 2012 Offensive Rookie of the Year (Washington Redskins) is in the offing.
“If something doesn’t go right, I am grabbing the guys during special teams drills in practice or after practice and just repping it”, Wentz said. I go off of the belief that you want to go in with the plays you’ve been repping all offseason and training camp.
Look for the Browns to bring a lot of pressure to capitalize on some of Wentz’s supposed weaknesses.
That’s a great four minutes not just for the dorky trick shots, but also for a candid look at Wentz way, way back before anyone projected him as a top NFL Draft pick.
Right tackle Lane Johnson faces a possible 10-game suspension for violating the league’s PED policy, but neither the Eagles nor Johnson had received any information concerning when or if the suspension will occur.
Wentz continues to prep for his first pro start this Sunday.
“The game definitely slowed down for me”, Wentz told Cleveland reporters on a Wednesday conference call, regarding his one and only slice of game action to date.
“I think selfishly we feel like it’s a little bit more on (the defense’s) plate because the small things matter just a little bit more”, safety Malcolm Jenkins said. Invariably, the team cuts ties with the player a few years later, no better off than they were before they drafted him. “He’s a Hall of Fame coach, so that really motivates me”.
“We’ll see who gets exhausted first, ” he said. “You’ve got to make sure you put punishment on him and make sure they feel you when they do run”.

Wentz started just 23 games at North Dakota State where he led the Bison to FCS national championships in both of his seasons.
