You’ll have to stream the Quantum Break TV show
We already know that there are a handful on Alan Wake easter eggs in Quantum Break.

Remedy Entertainment’s Quantum Break will use live-action cutscenes to tell the game’s story, but it seems they won’t be viewable for those without an internet connection. If you’re the type to cruise through a game on its hardest difficulty, there’s even a glimpse of that, too. “I can’t give you an exact size, but it is big…” What do you lot make of this decision?
It was recently revealed that developer Remedy Entertainment filed a trademark for something called Alan Wake’s Return, which many are assuming will be the next game in the Alan Wake series.
However, the crown jewel of Microsoft’s games line-up is still Quantum Break, due on April 5 for PC (Windows 10) and Xbox One.
Alan Wake is one of the most critically acclaimed games on Xbox 360. That would be great for PC gamers who want to, say, play Quantum Break on an airplane laptop, in a hotel, in some remote cabin in the woods, or in a country where high-speed Internet infrastructure might not be up to the task. “So for us, it was kind of like a natural choice”, Louden adds.
Still, we hope Microsoft reconsiders and offers a PC version of Quantum Break as a full, ahead-of-time download or disc-based retail game (with smaller 1080p videos if necessary).
We see dark forests, The Clicker, and an unconscious Alan Wake in the beginning.

For one reason or another, Alan Wake 2 was placed aside, with some of the ideas and characters from the prototype worked into the download-only Alan Wake’s American Nightmare, released in 2012. The problem there is you can’t include 40 variations of all of the different cut-scenes on the disc, there just isn’t enough space, so you need to stream them.
