“There can not be more direct censure by the Prime Minister in expressing his displeasure to what anti-social elements are doing in the name of “Gau Raksha”, BJP National Secretary Sidharth Nath Singh said.

” Punish those destroying India in the name of “gau seva”. Why are you attacking my innocent dalit brethren when all you want is to target the BJP”, the Prime Minister said in an indirect dig at the Opposition that has been attacking the BJP over a series of attacks on dalits. “Such service enhances national wealth.it does not create problem for the nation”. We have to protect the marginalised and the Dalits. We need to beware of these people. The governor, he said, hands over non-milching cows abandoned by people to farmers and ask them to link cows with cultivation as the cow urine and cow dung improves the soil fertility.

“Therefore it is his ideological co-travellers who have been perpetrating this spectre of uncertainty and terror in the name of cow lumpenism across the country, thereby whatever the Prime Minister says today is absolutely humbug and completely sanctimonious”, Tewari said. Governor of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh E S L Narasimhan, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, Union Ministers M Venkaiah Naidu, H N Ananth Kumar, Suresh Prabhu, Piyush Goyal and Bandaru Dattatreya were among those present. He said there was a time when “language of tension” was spoken between the Centre and the states. Welcoming such competition, he said, the Government would ensure true federalism where Central and State Governments work collaboratively and see to that the benefits of development reach grassroots. Stating that the government is giving priority to agriculture sector, he said if farmers get water, they have the capability to produce gold out of soil. He is “emotional” on the water issue and appeared to have taken it as a mission, Modi said. “Sadly, we only realise the importance of water when we have no access to it”.

In Agra, the Hindu outfit’s Braj region’s vice-president Sunil Parashar said Modi’s remarks have “hurt” gau rakshaks and that “he will have to pay for it in the next Lok Sabha polls”. The Prime Minister talked about various efforts being made by his government to check leakage and theft of urea and corruption in providing fertiliser subsidy. Neem coated urea can not be used in industries.
