YouTube Gaming Clicks on Start Button
Amazon’s game live streaming service Twitch has proved immensely popular and now Google is ready to put up some competition with YouTube Gaming.

YouTube Gaming will be offered wherever YouTube is available. The phone and tablet app from Google Play and the App Store will roll out in the morning in the U.S. and United Kingdom, with other countries to follow soon. That and several other features will be changed or improved with the release of YouTube Gaming.
Google’s inclination towards getting or designing a game-streaming platform of its own was pretty evident in its last year’s attempt to purchase Twitch. Gamers will enjoy more than 25,000 dedicated game landing pages, and will become the latest addition under the new Alphabet Inc holding company which controls YouTube.
In conjunction with the new streaming service, YouTube is also launching new tools to assist with scheduling and watching live streams. The service was originally announced in June with a promise for a summer launch and there were many rumors preceding its announcement, like how Google had originally intended to acquire Twitch but due to antitrust concerns, they decided it would be better to create their own service instead.

While the YouTube Gaming website should be available globally, the Android and iOS apps are limited to the US and UK – at least for the time being. Nearly every Twitch streamer also uses YouTube for archival purposes and as an additional revenue stream, and now YouTube is a one-stop-shop for every kind of gaming video on the Web.
