YouTube is getting an interesting new feature pretty soon: native messaging. We’re sure that many of you guys have found a clip on YouTube that you can’t wait to share with your friends.
MPEG-4 AVC, and Adobe Flash Video technology to display a wide variety of user-generated and corporate media video. So, YouTube’s developers thought about changing this and they made a decision to build messaging directly into the mobile application. Those who have gotten the feature can invite more people by sharing a video and starting up a messaging thread. YouTube is expected to roll it out to a small percentage of users, but those users can then spread the feature by inviting other friends into conversations and so on. Users can reply back with text or quickly search for video right from a thread. It is obvious that the company is introducing this feature to increase the time spent by users in the app. Only time will tell whether this service gains popularity, or users will prefer to still share links via mobile through other methods.
