YouTube star Caleb Logan dies at 13

As previously reported, Caleb Logan tragically died last week at the very young age of 13.

Caleb’s mom first announced her son’s passing via an Instagram post on Friday.

“Yesterday at 7:08 p.m. Caleb Logan Bratayley passed away of natural causes”, the family’s Instagram post – published October. 2 – read.

Caleb’s mother Katie said his death had come as a “shock” to them. “Words can not describe how much we will miss him”, she wrote. “We know you tune in to watch each day and eagerly anticipate new videos, but ask that you bear with us while we deal with this tragedy as a family”, she wrote. Fans the world over are mourning the sudden death of the 13-year-old YouTube sensation known as “Baked Potato” by his loved ones.

On Saturday, the family was able to post one of their daily vlogging videos which included Caleb.

It was titled “Dear Future Self”.

The Bratayley family released an additional statement on his death via YouTube.

The Brataleys, whose channel focuses on the U.S. family’s day-to-day life, started uploading videos in 2010 and have since had a billion views.

The late up-and-comer is survived by his parents, Katie and Billy, and his sisters Annie and Hayley. A message appears at the end of the video which reads, “Unfortunately Caleb passed away the day after we made this video. You never know what day will be their last”, she added.

In the description of the video “Dear Future Self” the brood explains that they made a decision to share new footage of Caleb, shot one day prior to his death, in order to better help their fans grieve.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family during this hard time. “Thank you for all the love and support that everyone has shown our family”.

The family has not given more details on the death of Caleb Logan, and have asked for privacy as they grieve.

A message on the screen said: “It is with our deepest sorrow to report that the Instagram announcement was indeed true”.
