Yu Darvish Set To Return Against Cubs
Yu Darvish is expected to start Saturday against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field, the club announced Wednesday. He returned on May 28, made three starts, then went down with the sore shoulder.

Darvish has been on the disabled list since June 9 with shoulder discomfort. Darvish allowed five runs in 15 2/3 innings in those three starts.
Even with the All-Star break and Yu Darvish coming back, the pitching staff will not be at full strength until Colby Lewis and Derek Holland return from their injuries.
The 29-year-old Japanese star owns a 2-0 mark with a 2.87 ERA in three starts after missing 14 months while recovering from Tommy John surgery. Darvish said after the game that tightness in his neck caused tightness in his shoulder.

When healthy, Darvish is one of the best pitchers in the AL and more than capable of carrying the Rangers’ staff. Will his return be that extra boost Texas needs to get back to the World Series for the first time since 2011? Darvish had an MRI that showed no structural damage, and he made two rehab starts with the Double-A Frisco Roughriders on July 4 and July 10. They also said he’d been on the suspended list from Sunday until Wednesday.
