Zach Ertz, Leodis McKelvin Uncertain For Week 2
Tight end Zach Ertz and cornerback Leodis McKelvin remain “week to week”, which means neither will likely play Monday night when the Eagles take on the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field. Pederson said Ertz’s rib is displaced seven millimeters and it needs to heal on its own.

“We haven’t ruled anything on him, and we will see on Monday”, Pederson said.
As of Thursday, the Eagles haven’t yet ruled either out for Monday’s game against the Bears.
Heading into Thursday, the role Mills would play in Philadelphia’s secondary was unclear. The worst thing that could happen for them is to have one of the cornerbacks get injured. Everyone else on the 53-man roster will practice, including Trey Burton, who didn’t play against the Browns because of a calf injury. “It just has to work itself back together, tighten whatever is up in there”. So at least the team will have Burton and veteran Brent Celek ready to go. Pederson said Burton could be a focal point of the passing game if Ertz misses time.
“Right now, we’re just going in with the three (corners) right now”. Although Pederson labeled both Ertz and McKelvin as “week-to-week”, the Eagles haven’t made a roster move to add a fourth cornerback if McKelvin is unavailable. “If Ron (Brooks) were to start out there we could move Jalen inside and vice versa”.
As of Thursday morning, Pederson is still expecting Lane Johnson to be the team’s starting right tackle.
Lane Johnson, who is still awaiting the results of the “B” sample from his drug test, is expected to play this week because the Eagles haven’t heard back from the National Football League yet, according to Pederson.
“You have Malcolm (Jenkins) who’s very versatile there”, Pederson said. “Rodney [McLeod] has played a bit”.
