Zach LaVine, Andre Drummond, Will Barton, Aaron Gordon reportedly in dunk contest

The field for the NBA Slam Dunk Contest scheduled for February 13 in Toronto is set, according to league sources. If he gives fans an encore, nobody will even give the lack of superstars a second thought.

This all makes it seem like a great idea for him to compete in this year’s Slam Dunk Contest. He closed the victory with another between-the-legs slam after receiving a pass off the stanchion behind the basket.

Big men have a real disadvantage in the dunk contest. Again, LaVine is a marvel, and Barton is one of the most exhilarating open-court players in the National Basketball Association. “I kind of retired that back, left that in high school, so I don’t really do it anymore”.

Yeah, you heard that right.

No. 1 Another inbounds alley-oop monster dunk against Colorado-I would be scared if I was that rim.

If Andre Drummond happens to win, he’d be following an eerily similar career path as Dwight Howard, who won in 2008. There is at least a precedent in place for big guys to steal the show.

Drummond is enjoying an excellent season as denoted by his 2016 all-star selection. He has great leaping ability, and he has done some fancy dunks in games.

Barton is also enjoying a breakout season this year in Denver, averaging 15.6 points and six rebounds per game. Remember: LaVine turned in the best individual performance in a dunk contest since Carter and claimed afterward he saved his best dunk.
