Zach Mettenberger or Marcus Mariota? Saints coach Sean Payton says ‘we’ll
“It’s definitely not what I work for, and I’m just going to keep grinding until I can turn it around and get a win”.

In his first three games, Tennessee Titans No. 2 overall Marcus Mariota threw for 833 yards, eight TDs and two INTs. Chicago Bears defensive end Jarvis Jenkins recorded three tackles in a 23-20 loss to Minnesota.
Texans kicker Nick Novak was good on both of his field goal attempts in the win, hitting from 38 and 44 yards.
Mettenberger finished with 171 yards on 22-for-31 passing with an interception.
Man, I wish I had seen this before yesterday’s game, but the terrible Miami game forced me to declare a moratorium on anything Texans related until Sunday morning.
Unlike his first two games played this season, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Martavis Bryant did not catch a touchdown Sunday. Zach Mettenberger will start in his place again. When Hoyer plays well, he has shown he can score, it just might not be as consistently as Texans fans would like.
There weren’t a lot of bright spots in the Tennessee Titans 20-6 loss to the Houston Texans at NRG Stadium but the Dick LeBeau defense and a great day by punter, Brett Kern kept the score and the ball game close….for a while!
For Hoyer, his play is most certainly a positive as he proved he was capable of sustaining drives and scoring to give the Texans a nod.
Mariota could provide a needed spark for a team that has lost six in a row and is averaging a whopping nine points a game over the four games after its bye week. While it wasn’t Hoyer’s most stellar performance, I have a feeling this will serve as good momentum moving forward for Houston.
Late last season, he became the second-youngest player in National Football League history to top 2,000 yards receiving and he now has 2,882 – which leads all third-year receivers in the National Football League this season.

The victory leaves them second in the AFC South and they’ll be tied for the division lead if the Colts lose to the Panthers on Monday night. The Houston Texans will host the Tennessee Titans yesterday! Whisenhunt said Dexter McCluster will handle kickoffs for now after Bishop Sankey fumbled one and muffed a second against Houston. The Titans got 15 first downs on the day, but were only 1 for 12 converting first downs and that one conversion came early before the pass rush got cranked up. Mettenberger may be more seasoned at this point, but he is 0-7 as a Starter including last week.
