Zelalem, 18, is a United States under-20 global and made two appearances for Arsenal’s senior squad in 2014: his first in the FA Cup in January and the second in the Champions League in December.

The 18-year-old midfielder trained with Mark Warburton’s side for the first time on 24 August and is in line to make his debut against Aidrie on Wednesday.
“And if we can go out on Sunday and put in a good performance to get the win then we are on our way”.

Stubbs understood why McGeouch, signed from Celtic this week after a loan spell at Easter Road last season, was aggrieved to be punished by referee Steven McLean for the free-kick which Tavernier converted.
