Zelda: Tri Force Heroes Will Reward Gamers Who Play Locally

For almost three decades, The Legend of Zelda has been host to a few of the greatest music to ever hit the gaming industry.

Stephen Colbert waves his dork flag by having an orchestra play music from the Zelda videogame series on The Late Show.

Tri Force Heroes, which is out on October 23 for 3DS, is a multiplayer Zelda game that looks and feels like 2013’s Link Between Worlds, but plays more like Four Swords. The Symphony of the Goddesses, which features orchestrated pieces from the entire franchise, is now in the middle of a worldwide tour – and they made a special stop over in New York. Though they’re a significantly smaller outfit, their jazzy arrangement is equally delightful. Since he took over, Colbert has had YouTuber PewDiePie on as a guest, and Hello Games’ Sean Murray, who showed off ambitious space exploration game No Man’s Sky. Other video game symphony performances include dedicated shows like Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions and one-offs like the London Philharmonic’s rendition of the Mass Effect 3 theme. His ideas are original and delightfully nerdy; he keeps you guessing on who’s up next.
