Zidane shoud give James more respect – Asprilla

Former Chelsea and Sociedad striker Gibson offered Arsenal and Chelsea hope in their reported pursuit of the Madrid playmaker after the Sky Sports News’s La Liga expert suggested that Rodriguez wouldn’t be content with his lack of first-team football.

Real Madrid’s Colombian forward James Rodriguez is looking for a house in Turin, real estate company Proto Group Ltd said on Thursday, amid speculation regarding his future club football career.

James Rodriguez deserves more respect from Zinedine Zidane and Real Madrid, according to former Colombia worldwide Faustino Asprilla.

James won the Golden Boot at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and joined Real in an €80 million move from Monaco, but after a strong first season he endured a hard 2015-16 campaign in Spain.

‘When he arrived at Real Madrid with (Carlo) Ancelotti, they gave him that chance and it’s no coincidence that with the Italian he played better than when Zidane arrived and he played badly. “If he hasn’t been able to continue to prove his worth it’s because the coach is not counting on him. he is giving him limited minutes”.

The 25-year-old, who was signed for £63m in 2014, only featured as a late substitute in Real’s opening game of the La Liga season against Real Sociedad.

Asprilla is convinced that if given the opportunity by Zidane, James can again showcase his talent.

“We’re talking about the top scorer at the last World Cup”. “One has to show a little bit of patience and even respect”.

I could see the benefits of both scenarios panning out for both the player himself and Real as a club and will trust Los Blancos to ensure the right thing does happen in the closing embers of the transfer window.
