The Florida Department of Health announced Tuesday there are 9 new Zika cases across the state. Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus are the two types of infected mosquitoes that can be found in Georgia. These types of mosquitoes are black, and black and white, respectively, the researchers said. The first was reported in mid-September. And there is no reason to think the virus will spread to other people or other mosquitoes at this time.

Mosquitoes bred around both the residents’ businesses.

The other seven cases are in Palm Beach (1), Miami Beach (1), and Miami-Dade County (5). Also included is $397 million for the National Institutes of Health for vaccine and diagnostic development.
