Zika-related fatality a first for Texas

That’s the first area in the 50 states where a local mosquito has infected a person with the virus, which can cause catastrophic brain damage in fetuses.

The congressional Democrats say that the ideal solution would be for Republicans to agree to pass the White House’s request for new Zika funding.
