The Pennsylvania Department of Health says as of now, there are no mosquitoes in the state carrying the virus.
The mosquito-borne Zika has not been thought as a killer virus and was known for causing nearly no symptoms in infected individuals.
Symptoms for the Zika virus tend to be mild and with the most popular symptoms being fever, rash, joint pain, muscle pain, headaches and conjunctivitis.
In an effort to help combat the spread of the Zika virus in Puerto Rico, New York City plans to donate one million condoms to the USA territory.
Commenting on the case, Sharp said, “A few days after his recovery, he returned to the hospital with signs of a bleeding disorder and was diagnosed with immune thrombocytopenic purpura, or ITP”.
The state has recommended that women who plan to become pregnant or who are pregnant postpone travel to Zika affected areas. Health authorities have recently confirmed that the virus definitely causes microcephaly, though many questions remain, like when during pregnancy is an infection most risky. One of these defects is microcephaly, which often causes abnormally-small head sizes and brain damage in newborns.
In an effort to keep Florida residents and visitors safe and aware about the status of the Zika virus, the Florida Department of Health will issue a Zika virus update each week day at 2 p.m.
The first American has died from Zika virus related complications, health officials with the Center for Disease Control (CDC) reported Friday. He said he was bitten by a mosquito during his vacation.

Pino continued: “If travel can not be avoided, women must take steps to protect themselves from mosquito bites: wear insect repellant and long sleeves and trousers, and stay in locations with window and door screens or air conditioning, if possible”.
