Zika Virus Testing Now Available in Connecticut
CDC recommends that pregnant women should consider postponing travel to affected areas. The Utah Department of Health said the patient is between the ages of 2 and 10 years.

While sexual transmission of Zika virus is possible, it is primarily transmitted to people by Aedes species mosquitoes.
On Friday, the agency urged pregnant women to avoid going to the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil in August because of concerns about the virus.
Khan says local doctors, clinics and emergency rooms are advised to ask patients screening questions of patients complaining of a low-grade fever and body aches: Have they have traveled to any Zika hot spots, including the Caribbean, Mexico or Brazil? For those who do, symptoms tend to be mild.
DFAT has also updated its Thailand travel advisory to reflect the Zika virus warning, stating the country is “experiencing ongoing transmission” and visitors should exercise a high degree of caution.
For anyone who does plan to visit the affected countries, the best approach to avoiding Zika virus infection is prevention. The exception is a case in Dallas County, believed to be the result of a person having sexual contact with a man who traveled to Venezuela.
What should I do if I am pregnant and have traveled to an area where Zika is found?
SA Health did not disclose which affected area the 25-year-old returned from. The woman was pregnant at the time she had symptoms of the Zika virus, but the health district added after she gave birth to her child the baby tested negative for the virus.

The state Department of Public Health announced Tuesday that the Katherine A. Kelley State Public Health Laboratory in Rocky Hill is now able to test for active Zika virus in-state.
