Zimbabweans Happy Over Clinton Presidential Nomination
Obama was set up well by his tag-team partner, Vice President Joe Biden, who veered from the poignant to the profane in eviscerating Trump. The former secretary of state reached out to her former party opponent Bernie Sanders disappointed voters and said, “I want to thank Bernie Sanders”.

“When a young woman walks into a classroom, a 15-year-old boy will think to himself, she could be president one day.”
Make no mistake about, Trump is getting desperate after getting beaten in the ratings over the first three nights of the convention. “It was so exciting but I have to tell you it was also kind of overwhelming”.
“He wants us to fear the future and fear each other, he wants to divide us from the rest of the world, and from each other”, Clinton added in a wide-ranging speech that was alternately progressive and hawkish – and quoted Broadway’s Hamilton.
Hillary Rodham Clinton accepted the presidential nomination at the Democratic Party National Convention in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Clinton assailed Trump’s record as a businessman, questioned whether he has the temperament to be commander in chief, and accused him of offering “empty promises”.
A second video shot shows Bill and Chelsea Clinton, only one of whom has her eyes open. “We will not build a wall”. “So if you agree that there’s too much inequality in our economy and too much money in our politics, we all need to be as vocal and as organized and as persistent as Bernie Sanders supporters have been during this election”.
“To drive real progress, you have to change both hearts and laws” Clinton said. Clinton said she was happy for woman, considering the historic moment and also for men, because she said that when a barrier is broken, it helps everyone, saying to imagine what could happen, “when there are no ceilings”.
Clinton says America is great and can be greater.
Other speakers scheduled for the final night include House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and US Senator Sherrod Brown, who was once considered to be Mrs Clinton’s running mate. He spoke for 70-odd minutes – and I do mean odd. CNN reported Obama told the crowd at the DNC that America was strong and he thought Clinton was the person to take the country forward.

In his speech, the president contrasted the vision of former President Ronald Reagan, who called America “a shining city on a hill”, with Trump’s vision of America: “a divided crime scene that only he can fix”.
