Zimmer says, there will be no moral victories!
“We were a couple plays away”, quarterback Teddy Bridgewater said.

“I like this football team“. They want to do good.
But the Vikings also gave up seven sacks, including a strip-sack fumble that clinched the game with 29 seconds left, and a 72-yard touchdown run to the league’s 31st-ranked rushing attack.
“The negative is that big run to the outside”, Joseph said.
“I feel very good about this team“. That’s what everybody wants and that’s what Zimmer wants. And if we ever do put it all together, we could be a really good football team.
As for the long run surrendered, Zimmer said it was a defensive play call that could have been better, combined with a lack of execution.
That’s why they weren’t exactly brimming with self-congratulations entering their bye week.
-SPECIAL TEAMS: D. Blair Walsh made two of three field goals, but one of them was a badly hooked 38-yarder from a guy who has one of the strongest legs in the league.
Denver Broncos outside linebacker Von Miller (58) celebrates after sacking Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater (5) during the second half of an NFL football game Sunday, October 4, 2015, in Denver. He rushed the passer better yesterday than he has, but I guess the best way (to say it) is he is an unselfish warrior player. Cornerback Aqib Talib was right there in the middle, but had already turned his hips and by the time he turned back, Peterson was by him. He broke through Denver’s bunched-up defense at the line of scrimmage and into the clear for a 48-yard touchdown run cutting the Broncos’ lead to 20-17 with 10:01 remaining.
“But it’s not like they spit the bit. We know that we’re going to be in another game like this at a few point this year, and we’re going to make sure that we come out on top”. “That’s just how we play. Absolutely, probably numbers of things in every area we could have done differently”.
Zimmer was asked if the coaching staff could have given Clemmings more help in pass protection. “It’s things like that”.
“Matt did good”, he said. “That’s what I’m trying to get everybody to buy into”. “But the times he didn’t block him, that’s what shows up”. “He went to the wrong guy one time causing an issue”. Throw in the seven sacks, as well as two scrambles by Bridgewater, and that’s 50 pass plays, compared to 19 designed run plays (including a QB sneak). At 2-2, it certainly hasn’t been Minnesota’s defense that has held them back. That’s what I continue to try to preach to this football team, and (Joseph) pretty much takes it on himself.
Vikings coach Mike Zimmer said it took the team a while to get acclimated to Denver’s speed on defense. “We have to get better, there’s no question”.
“Sometimes with this team, it seems like when we get in big games, everyone wants to make a play”.

For the Denver offense, they proved that the unit is still a work-in-progress.
