Freeman and the Atlanta Braves rallied from a three-run deficit to tie the game in the eighth before Clint Robinson’s tiebreaking single with two outs in the ninth lifted the Nationals to a 7-6 win on Friday night.

The first-place Nationals have won the first three games of this series and are 11-1 against the Braves this season.

Mark Melancon gave up a two-run single to Chase d’Arnaud, cutting the lead to two, before recording the final out for his 36th save. Interim manager Brian Snitker said before the game that Vizcaino won’t immediately reclaim the closer’s role.
