Man United have released the provisional list of squad numbers for the season ahead and Zlatan Ibrahimovic has indeed poached the No9 shirt from Anthony Martial.
The famously extrovert attacker wore No.10 at Paris Saint-Germain but has previously sported No.9 at Barcelona, Juventus and Ajax.
His arrival at United sees him once again working under former boss Jose Mourinho, who succeeded Louis van Gaal in the Old Trafford hotseat.
Fans are expecting big things from the veteran forward in the Premier League, having seen the 34-year-old establish himself as one of the most feared strikers in Europe.
Who were the greatest United stars who carried it during the Premier League era?
Frenchman Martial’s choice of number 11 mirrors his choice of shirt for the national team at Euro 2016. Henrikh Mkhitaryan will don the No.22 shirt which he has worn at multiple clubs throughout his career to date while Eric Bailly will wear the No.3 shirt, most recently made famous by Patrice Evra.
