Zlatan takes just 190 seconds to make mark at Man United

“I think the fans are waiting for me to come back and they are waiting to enjoy not only me, but the team as well”. The Swedish heavyweight took just three minutes and 15 seconds to mark his United debut with a trademark stunning goal to get Mourinho’s pre-season plans back on track with a thrilling 5-2 victory against Galatasaray.

Last month, former MU player and legend Eric Cantona, who was nicknamed “The King” during his time at the club, claimed Ibrahimovic could become a prince at Old Trafford after joining the club on a free transfer. You just needed to look at him to see how angry he was.

The United manager also admitted his players are behind schedule in their preparations after their friendly against Manchester City in Beijing was called off because of a poor pitch.

Rashford burst onto the scene last season, with the 18-year-old emerging from the youth ranks to earn a place in the first XI and an unexpected trip to Euro 2016.

“He’s a good player”, the Italian defender added.

All joking aside, Manchester United Manager Jose Mourinho has said that the big mercurial Swede’s healthy sense of self-esteem is great for the club.

Quoted in Tuttosport, he said: “It’s complete madness when measured against real life, but we live in a world in which everything that happens is geared towards moving money around”.

“Ibra and Rashford are quite different in terms of qualities but Marcus can learn a lot from him”.

“When I came on against Slovakia it was hard to change the game, impossible really”.

And ahead of the new season, the 26-year-old is willing to remain versatile to help earn himself regular first-team football.

A Wayne Rooney brace and goals from Juan Mata, Marouane Fellaini and debutant Zlatan Ibrahimovic handed Mourinho’s men an impressive 5-2 win, after their 4-1 loss to Borussia Dortmund in China. But I signed the contract because I like being a Chelsea player and I see good things here.
