In addition, there will be a couple of dedicated sound chips to work alongside enhanced software, where professional third-party testing has proven the Axon 7 headset and speaker output to be significantly more powerful compared to the competition.

Back in May of this year, ZTE officially introduced the Axon 7 smartphone, an all-metal smartphone with a ridiculous amount of high-end specifications.

As a refresher, the Axon 7 features a 5.5-inch Quad HD display placed within an aluminum unibody frame.

Instead, it’ll be sold unlocked at Amazon, Best Buy, B&H, Newegg and the official ZTE website.

Aside from Daydream’s compatibility, 4GB worth of RAM, dual SIM card slots, 4k videos, fingerprint sensor, and Dolby’s hi-fi audio system sums up the features of the smartphone. The smartphone should run Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 out of the box, with MiFavor UI 4.0 on top. You will be able to use the Axon 7 on all major USA carriers (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint), as it supports nearly all 3G, CDMA, and LTE bands deployed in the US.

As we continue to test out the ZTE Axon 7, look for our hands on review to become a full review closer to the newly announced July 27 release date. The Axon 7’s spec list competes with some of the best phones on the market, so it’ll be interesting to see how it performs in the real world.

A comparison with OnePlus’ flagship killer is in order, considering that the two devices sport roughly the same specs, with the Axon 7 having a clearer display compared to it rival’s 1080p resolution.
