ZTE Axon high-end smartphone certified by TENAA
Following its debut in the United States, the Axon phone is now looking to make a splash eastward in for the Chinese Market. Published spec lists of the phones show they are essentially the same, except for the display and the added biometric features of the Axon Lux, which include a fingerprint scanner, an eye scanner and voice recognition software that allows the user to unlock the phone via voice. During the announcement of the Axon in China, ZTE had a few surprises to reveal.

ZTE has been making waves with their recent run of high-end handsets and the new Axon smartphone.
ZTE has already made the smartphone available for pre-order in the U.S. via its online store, and rumors say it will be available for the Canadian market as well.
“Today’s launch marks a significant new chapter in product development for ZTE, and the three devices launched today are results of our ongoing commitment to becoming more consumer-centric in the global market”, said Zeng. ZTE wants to take back its place among the top-three smartphone vendors on the Chinese market. The company confirmed the device would be available in Canada as Axon Phone Pro in the coming weeks, too.

Apart from that, the Axon Lux will be packed with the same specs as the U.S. version of the smartphone, so expect the same Snapdragon 810 CPU paired with 4GB RAM, as well as 5.5-inch Quad HD display. The Axon Watch sports a circular 1.4-inch AMOLED display with 400 x 400 pixels, further featuring a heart rate monitor, GPS, Bluetooth 4.1, 512 MB of RAM, and 4 GB of internal memory. It can double up as a mobile wireless hotspot for other devices, has an integrated 5.1-inch screen and runs Android and, most impressively, can be operated via voice command-in Mandarin, of course. Meanwhile the Spro 2 Smart Projector will cost 3699 RMB (about US$595) when it goes on sale.
