ZTE Blade A2 smartphone with metal body, fingerprint sensor launched

ZTE has unveiled a new smartphone in China dubbed the Blade A2 at a price of CNY 699 (approximately Rs 7,000). As far as the cameras are concerned, the ZTE Blade A2 packs a 13-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies. At its core, it has MediaTek MTK6750 SoC coupled with an octa-core 1.5GHz COU and a Mali-T860 MP2 520MHz graphics processing unit. It is the successor to Blade A1 which was launched past year in December. Like its predecessor, the Blade A2 is a lower mid-range device but comes with quite a few improvements that make it a more compelling device.

ZTE Blade A2 is the second smartphone in the series after Blade A1 and comes with several improvements such as an all-metal body and 4G VoLTE support. At the front, it is equipped with a 5MP selfie snapper with a dedicated LED flash. It will be available via Chinese e-commerce website JD.com, starting June 15.

The device featuring 5 inch screen runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop-based MiFAvor 3.2.
